It has excellent obstacle recognition and is able to cleanly navigate around furniture and even cords and pet waste. With that said, it did not completely avoid our fake pet waste, so we would recommend checking before you start cleaning. We scored the Deebot a 5 out of 5 for navigation, and you can trust that it will recognize most obstacles while efficiently managing just about any type of room.
