I assume it just holds the gears till higher rev before change. If that is the case - anyone got any experience of how the fuel economy is affected if I just leave it on? Reprogrammes the shift point for the gear box. Does not change anything to do with the engine output. I have found it makes the changes more snatchy but its a more sporty feel The ECT power on, gives you more power, if you drive more aggressively with this power, consumption will go up.

I commented on my review of the M35 that this was a feature of the M trans that I liked very much. This is great if you are on the highway and need to cut through a series of slower moving cars.
