EDward Gaming is a Chinese professional esports organization. They are currently known as EDG Hycan for sponsorship reasons. They continued this performance in the Summer Split , earning first place in both the regular season and playoffs. In addition to their LPL success, EDG also found success in other events, finishing top 2 at every major tournament they competed in. The team tied for 2nd in their group with ahq e-Sports Club , and ended up losing to fellow Chinese team Star Horn Royal Club in the first round of playoffs.

This roster would start competing in the LPL Spring season , which they won following a win against Invictus Gaming in the grand finals. From there on, they won another 2 LPL titles before eventually placing 4th in the summer season , this time losing against Invictus Gaming. In , EDward Gaming placed th at Worlds for the third time in a row with a loss against ROX Tigers , but despite that, most of the roster stuck together for The team continued attending World Championships, but they never placed higher than th. In , EDward Gaming had their first year without any titles, with their highest placement being a second place in the Demacia Cup. The team did not make any changes, and in Summer they took home the championship with a victory against FunPlus Phoenix , resulting in their first LPL title since the Summer season and a direct first seed invite to Worlds EDward Gaming placed second in their group with a record, dropping a game against T1 and Thieves.

They continued to perform well into the LPL Summer Split, finishing in first place in both the regular season and playoffs. In addition to their LPL success, EDG also found success in other events, finishing top two at every major tournament they competed in. On 13 December, they placed first at Demacia Cup Season 2. On 17 December, Azure, now known as Meiko, joined the team. From week three of the split, Meiko played as the team's support. On 26 April, Reapered joined as a coach.
