In other languages:. Enemies also commonly called Biters are creatures that want to harm the player. They are the native inhabitants of the extraterrestrial world in the form of arthropods living in organic nests, coexisting with each other peacefully. They are encountered in three species: Biters, spitters and worms. The species are further distinguished in four stages of growth, and thus strength. Enemies and nests show up on the map as red dots. Much like the player, enemies can slowly regain lost health. Trigger an alien attack by pollution. Biters are one of two main antagonists in the game. They come in four sizes: small, medium, big and behemoth. In the beginning of a game, there will only be the small ones.
This also lessens the chance of any future attacks on the player's factory.
I'm asking mostly because this has befuddled me for a long time now. I tend to reach about the point just after you need to start expanding and looking for resources outside of the starting area when this becomes a problem: suddenly you have to encroach on the Biters' territory. It's not that hard initially, and getting your factory expanded is fine for a while, but pretty much the second oil production kicks in, the Biters start evolving to medium-sized. You can kind of keep up with this if you focus on weapons research and get laser turrets going ASAP, but before long you've got large Biters charging at your factory walls and those lasers can't cut through them any longer. So you switch to the flamethrower, and all is well

Medium worms are dangerous to even more advanced players. Weakest of biters, can be easily killed with a pistol. Enemies and nests show up on the map as red dots. The attack then proceeds to their target over the shortest path possible, accounting for terrain, but not for player entities that could pose an obstacle like walls. Sign In Register. That would be terrible, as I play on a Death World and they are everywhere and they need to make room for my industries! Stuck in a mission? If you are going to edit a lot, then make yourself a user and login. However, placed buildings and tiles are unaffected by the acid puddles, but still take damage normally by the acid projectile. Because it kind of feels like you're stuck in a losing spiral where the Biters get too strong for your weaponry almost before you get the next level of weaponry, even if you've exclusively got your science focused on developing it. Keep forests wherever reasonable - they absorb a lot of pollution. AP ammo is a must. Pollution is effecting them, so it is either build faster rely on construction bots or hide constantly play hide'n'seek with them HAHAHEHE Come and get me if they can :D :P or :X they hurt me because distracted their evolution. All that aside, the game automatically generates some chunks under the black fog of war. Medium worms are dangerous to even more advanced players. They can also evolve quickly, and can do so even faster the more pollution is generated from the player's buildings. Health: Range: 48 Acid projectile: Attack speed: 0. Can pose a problem for and even kill weaker players. Due to the "no story" nature of the game, the origin of the creatures is never touched upon. They will spit acid at the player, which can also leave acidic puddles on the ground that can still damage players and vehicles, as well as slow them both down and leave a brief acidic, damaging effect for a few seconds. Dangerous, resistant to small arms.
I refuse.
