We've fallout 4 castle big enough that we're having trouble communicating with all our settlements. It's a good problem to have. And I have a solution. I think it's time to retake the Castle.

While a lot of Boston has changed in Fallout 4 , The Castle remains the same. The location has seen better days, falling apart when players get to it for the first time. The Castle is also the main base for the Commonwealth Minutemen , giving the faction their home back. When players first get to The Castle, it is infested with mirelurks and the tunnels are taken over by robots. A quest will be given to players to clear out the area, making it possible to build and use it as a settlement.

A Fallout 4 player has restored The Castle by giving it a makeover using countless resources. There are many Fallout 4 Settlements that players can build up and defend from invaders, and this fan decided to focus much of their attention on The Castle. The Castle is a Fallout 4 Settlement location that players will encounter reasonably early in their gameplay. Before it was taken over by the mutated Boston wildlife, The Castle was the headquarters for the Fallout 4 Minutemen faction. To unlock The Castle as a Fallout 4 Settlement , players must defeat the hostile enemies and build a radio tower. With the Minutemen being a key faction of Fallout 4 , this player has restored its glory with an incredible makeover. Reddit user Sirbalz recently shared a screenshot of their version of Fallout 4 's Castle. Beyond the impressive Settlement itself, there are two Fallout 4 Vertibirds in the foreground that can be used for scale. There are several layers to Sirbalz's Fallout 4 Castle design, with a central pillar visible from a great distance. This build was done on a PS4 using the Game of the Year edition. No building mods were used in this build. I do have Creation Club skins installed for armor and Pip Boys but they were not used for this build. The Outer Walls When you first arrive at The Castle a couple of its formerly formidable walls have been long destroyed, so the first thing I did after retaking the fort was using the concrete foundation blocks to restore the walls. I pretty much sealed up the walls and honestly, it looks a tad dull from the exterior which is why most of my screenshots here are focused on the interior.

One of the more unique settlements you'll conquer in Fallout 4 during the Minuteman questline is the Castle, an old fort located on the eastern coast of the Commonwealth, south of Boston. For taking back the fort, this is a pretty good reward for players. They make you wonder why this object is here in the first place and what must have happened here previously.
