The Far Cry series is pretty formulaic. Each game employs the same set of standards, methods, gameplay sequences, and plot devices, from monologuing villains, to scaling watchtowers, to endless drug-induced hallucinations. Perhaps some players appreciate this surety, this guarantee of what to expect in a Far Cry game. They know what they are getting when they dish out their money. Far Cry 5 attempts to veer away from some of the standard elements of gameplay known to the series. Gone are the watchtowers run by the antagonist and his regime, which would reveal portions of the map.

Capture parties are groups of cultists trying to detain you in Far Cry 5. You will eventually get caught. However, you can delay capture. You can massacre them, but another group will replace them soon enough. The capture parties start appearing as you complete the first stage of your reputation race.

So suppose I clear out John's region first liberated all outpost and completed all side missions , then I jump to Jacob's territory. I fast travel to John's region as soon as I hit the first resistance bar to avoid being captured. I then spend the rest of eternity using GFH and RPG to kill supply trucks that occasionally drives by the border, all the while staying in John's region and eventually building enough resistance point to straight up kill Jacob. Does this mean I don't get brain washed by "Only You" and will not turn into a murder bot in the "good" ending?
