It's disappeared. I heard something about her being trolled but no details. I've been reading Froogs for years, I'd miss her if she was gone! Why did she get online abuse though, it's puzzling. I wouldn't have thought her blog was particularly controversial. What a pity. Her blog helped me get on top of my finances a couple of years ago, it was great. Felt like I knew her, "DB" and their dogs! There was a thread on Moneysavingexpert asking where FQ had gone and that got zapped as it got quite nasty - I read it at the start but don't see how ended. Personally, I got bored of the blog. Admittedly, I only started reading it after she had cleared most of her debt, but just before she bought the house in France. I think that frugal blogs can be quite dull. I mean, they can be great when you are following someone to clear their debt, as you, as the reader is joining them on their journey, but everyday frugal living is pretty dull. There is only so much content you can do on 'not spending any money' before it becomes repetitive. Very sad that Froogs 'flicked the switch' without an explanation to her loyal readers.

I hope she rethinks and is aware of all the people out there that she is helping and will be back soon. Cost of living Follow topic. Thanks for dropping by, frugal queen france.

Back in February, my husband asked me what I thought about moving to France, and I had an immediate answer for him: as long as I can bring my craft supplies. For three years, we had been trying to figure out where we wanted to move because our forever home had stopped feeling like our forever home. We were feeling the squeeze of suburbia and meddling neighbors, and our hearts were breaking more each day, as we watched all the beautiful Smoky Mountain views around town disappearing behind new developments. The storms in our area were also growing more severe, which only added to our desire to move on. I wanted a garden shed; my husband wanted a garage; and we both found ourselves craving more outdoor space and a more rural setting. After 20 years, it was time to move on. But where should we go? Every place we considered seemed to be struggling with the same rapid development and cost of living increases that we were experiencing in Tennessee.
