I have several mods i want to use however the only mods that are working are the steam workshop gag mass effect races After stepping away from the issues and going to bed it was almost 3am when i posted and coming back my irritation galactic civilizations 2 mods dispersed and re reading my last post comes across as a childish tantrum and that's not how i wanted to appear so apologies for that!

Much of the content of GC3 is defined in editable XML files that can be changed or added to by user created mods. It is recommended, however, that you create a folder in Mods with a name that's easy for you to remember. Then, create a folder in it and name it "Game. Make sure to use the correct XML file! There is one for the base game, another for the Intrigue expansion and another for the Retribution expansion. The folders for the expansions are in the DLC folder of the base game. An ExampleMod folder is created in the Mods folder for you the first time you run the game to show the expected folder structure of a mod. Each mod is placed in its own folder in the Mods folder. Within a mod's folder you will find or create, if you're writing a mod five folders:. Files that a mod replaces or that add content to a base file are placed in the folder with the same name as that file in the game's file structure.

Does anyone Know where to Put Mods. I put Them In the Mods Folder and it doesnt work I have GalCiv 2 Ulitimate btw. Yeah I'd like to know too! I just got the game and tried to install one of the mod moduals, and the instructions don't match up with the Ultimate edition's file structure. I don't have GC2U Click DONE.

Forum Home Login. Do you wish Galactic Civilizations 2 had Higher Resolution textures? Do you wish the planets and solar systems looked more realistic? I've been developing this mod for some weeks now, and the time is near for it's release. In short, this mod will: Replace the textures for all the races' homeworlds with new, original higher resolution versions. Replace all Class 0 planet textures with new, original higher resolution versions. Replace all ring and moon textures with new, original higher resolution versions. Replace all cloud textures with new, original higher resolution versions. Include authentic all-new Raw Terrain maps for all of the races' homeworlds.
