But let's face it, not all starters are created equal, and nothing demonstrates that unfortunate truth more then the Kanto trio. Real talk, it's why I thought Grass types were weak to Psychic until the third generation. Normally, middle evolutions of starters are not note worthy. Fire and Electric is excellent coverage for a special attacker in Gen 2.
