Things need to be tested before you buy parts you don't need. Check for proper spark , fuel pressure and injector pulse. Do you hear the fuel pump prime the system when you hit the key? Ed answered 7 months ago. You've got a lot more going on than a crank sensor. Mechanics don't fix by codes.

I volunteered to help some folks out that have fallen on hard times. They have a GMC Acadia that would not restart after stopping at the store 2 years ago. They need the vehicle to run so one of the spouses can go back to work. I stopped and bought a battery. When I got to the home I installed the battery and tried to start the vehicle. It is cranking and the scan tool displays about RPM. No hint of starting. No codes are setting in PCM. There is a nice square wave to fire the coils. The fuel pump is coming on. I told the family that I would have to do some research and get back with them.
