Who unknowingly helped Kratos through Poseidon's chamber which allowed him to reach the other chambers and then finally to the top of Olympus.

Instead of killing the Hounds you need to use them to your advantage. Move towards the Hyperian Gate on the right and punt four dogs through it to weigh down the platform across the room.
