There are Gold Brick items available in the game. You can obtain four bricks within each of the 24 story mode stages by successfully completing the stage for the first time, by earning a 'True Wizard' rating, by rescuing the stage's Student in Peril and for completing the House Crest assembly. If you collect all 24 bricks for a 'Year' in the game, you can head downstairs in the tavern to assemble an object and get another brick, for a total of 4 more bricks when you finish all four years. The second hundred bricks are scattered. Besides the students that you can rescue in story stages, there are an additional 26 students who have found trouble throughout the halls of Hogwarts Castle. Find each of them as described elsewhere in this guide for another Gold Brick piece.

One is located in the Emporium use Wingardium Leviosa magic to snag it and the other is in the Borgin and Burkes shop, just off the lower left side of Knockturn Alley.

You can get some just by playing through levels and others will be discovered through exploring the world in Free Roam. IGN knows where each one is so you don't have to worry about spending countless hours scouring every last corner of Hogwarts to find them.
