Granary Square is a fantastic addition to the newly revamped Kings Cross with a number of shops, restaurants and bars. The venue is absolutely stunning with cut-glass pendant lights and chairs and banquettes upholstered in silk and velvet. The main eye opener is the gorgeous bar in the centre which is perfect for a few cocktails. Granary Square Brasserie also has a lovely large outside area which will be delightful in the summer. Expelliarmus as I was told! We also ended the meal with a Salted caramel espresso martini which went down a treat.

And my senses are correct. The restaurant, which opened in mid-December, has been designed by the team behind The Ivy family spreading across London and beyond, with its latest openings in Cambridge and Guilford. Inside the Grade II-listed building, the huge restaurant is a sophisticated, all-day dining spot that attracts small groups, birthday parties and even young families. Brunch is served on weekends between a very leisurely 11am and 4pm, when a DJ also plays. The brunch menu is extensive. And I mean extensive. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat. Once hot, add the onion to the pan with a pinch of salt and cook until softened — about 5 minutes. Slice 2 of the courgettes into coins about 2mm thick. Add the garlic to the pan and cook for 3 minutes, just until cooked through. Return the empty pan to the heat. Coarsely grate the last courgette and add that to the pan. Return the pan to the heat and add the frozen spinach with 60ml of water. Cover with a lid or large plate and leave for the spinach to defrost on a low heat for minutes. Remove the lid careful of the steam!

We were told we could only have the table for 75 mins, which was fine. The place was buzzing, with plenty of people making plenty of noise, and Definitely recommend this restaurant. Four old friends met u for a get together and nice meal and chat.

This cover restaurant excluding the outdoor terrace is manned by around staff with 45 in the back, and therefore the service is extremely attentive, so much so, that the staff take the time to have a chat.
