The Mant Boss fight is a major battle that is mandatory to complete to proceed in the main story questline.

During this phase, it has 3 attacks: A normal punch, a violent slam that reduces movement speed, and a 3 hit combo of side swipes that will move it forward. Dealing with this phase is fairly simple, as the only threat is direct contact with the Mant itself. In addition, it gains access to 2 new attacks; a ranged spore bomb that it will pick from the fungal growths on its back and hurl at the player, and an explosive eruption similar to the way Infected Larva attack, in which it will bend down and unleash 3 close-range explosions from the fungal growths on its back. It will also gain the ability to shoot a ball of web from its arms that, should it make contact, will slow the player down and reel them in closer to the Mant. In addition, its three-hit combo occasionally gains an extra swipe at the end, turning it into a four-hit combo.

Grounded mant

Mant is one of the bosses in Grounded that you'll fight when you reach the upper yard section of the main story missions. On this page, we'll detail where you can find Mant as well as what you can expect from the fight. Mant can be found in the Undershed , as you make your way through the underground to find Dr Tully. In this room, you want to head to the back and towards the large Sinkhole this is in a northern direction from where you enter. When you reach the Sinkhole , you should be able to see a tunnel opposite that is covered with webs. Use the tree branches on the right-hand side of the room, to climb across and over to the tunnel. This is, in fact, a Black Widow's nest. You'll have to run through this, to reach the lab where Mant can be found. As you enter the Black Widow's nest, look for the light that shines through on the other side. This is the direction you should head, to exit the nest and find the Undershed Lab. Go inside and follow the path until you reach the room with the beds. You can set this as your respawn point in case you die going up against Mant. Take the path to the left first, and follow the corridor until you reach the room with the Infected Larva.
