The chrome details from the base model were replaced by black, plastic-like ones, although the silver badging were retained in the vehicle. The Cognoscenti is largely based on the Maybach 62 , with front influence from the first generation Bentley Continental Flying Spur. The front bumper, trim on the rear bumper and, to a lesser extent, the headlights are inspired by the facelifted Jaguar S-Type , while the tail lights might have been inspired by the second generation Lexus SC.
