The Baggage Handler is presumably based on an older Clark CT towing tractor, with a flattened design. In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories , the vehicle is designed as an open-air, single-seat airport tug, where the front end is rounded and features a small bumper at the bottom and a square-shaped grille with four separations in the center, while the sections beside it house circular headlights and small indicators above. The front engine compartment is relatively large and mounts what looks like an exhaust on the right-hand side. The driver section is situated behind the engine compartment and is offset to the left, with the steering wheel centered to the seat, and with small dials on the right, followed by a small luggage compartment with guard rails and cases. The rear section assumes a slanted shape on the upper half and a flat end on the lower half, having small marker lights on the rear surface of the luggage compartment, large red tail lights with a tow hitch on the lower half, and a large bumper at the bottom. Both renditions spawn in a white primary color around the body, although the GTA Vice City Stories rendition may spawn in other colors as well.

The Baggage Box is a small twin-axle luggage box trailer intended to carry luggages from airport terminals to the available aircraft. The trailer has a small wheelbase and two towing hitches on both ends, allowing it to tow more Baggage Boxes or a Tug Stairs. The only vehicle that can tow these trailers is the Baggage Handler. Being a small trailer, the Baggage Box is rather easy to carry. It also features its own steering axle, allowing it to take corners sharply. However, it cannot sustain too much damage and will explode like any generic vehicle, being a risk to damage the Baggage Handler or other baggage Boxes attached. The Baggage Box has another tow hitch, allowing to tow another Baggage Box and creating a large formation. However, care must be taken, because the inertia generated by the vehicle when turning to a side will be severe for the last trailers of the formation, which means if the vehicle makes a sharp turn, the trailers from the rear will be sent flying away, usually damaging and destroying them in the process. Being trailers, they cannot be driven; however, they do feature their own handling lines, which are identical to each other. GTA Wiki Explore. The Games. The Vehicles.

In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas , the vehicle largely remains identical, albeit with several changes on the model: the front bumper is mounted at a lower height and the grille has an additional separation, while the engine compartment has an openable hood and a longer exhaust with what seems to be a rain cap. There are also vented details on the lower sides and grab handles near the driver compartment, as well as the corresponding fuel cap on the left-hand side and a small box on the right-hand side of the driver compartment. The luggage compartment mounts an amber beacon that flashes at night, while the compartment itself may appear empty or with a large toolbox, a small case and earmuffs as separate extras.

Towing refers to an ability in Grand Theft Auto games to tow or pull an object, specifically a trailer or vehicle, using another vehicle. The feature is first made possible in Grand Theft Auto 2 , where semi-trailer trucks possess the ability to pull trailers, and the feature reappears in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto V , while Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars only features one vehicle with a permanently attached trailer. Attachments with trailers simply require the player reverse their vehicle into the front of a trailer until the camera readjusts itself to center on both the hauler and the trailer, confirming the coupling is complete. When pulling a trailer, the vehicle will possess poorer performance due to the need to pull extra weight, especially with regards to steering as the vehicle is now longer. Players have the option of detaching trailers after attachment. All in all, GTA 2 features three forms of trailers, one of which is somewhat useful in actual gameplay. The Truck Cab and the Truck Cab SX represent the game's only two semi-trailer trucks, and are also the only vehicles in GTA 2 capable of attaching to and pulling trailers. Players may detach a trailer using the attack key or button.
