By SunTzu. I really dislike the deafult attack sound of the pistol skills. So are there any pistols aside from Hope which have some unique attack sounds? Note: only HOPE, Quip and the Ebonhawke Crossbow Pistol Skin have both matching sound and projectile animations supposedly the Crimson Assassin SAB weapon skins too but I can't find any showcase example of them anywhere and I've never seen it in-game either so take that with a grain of salt. By ElforTheLandStander. This is an issue that has bugged me for a while, but the release of the Ebonhawke Crossbow Rifle reminded me of it again. For rifle skins that change the firing sound, I wish the Deadeye weapon skills didn't override them with their own sound. When I first found Ironsight, with the ker-chunk sound it makes when firing which I assume the Ebonhawke Crossbow also makes, but I haven't managed to get it yet so I don't know for sure , I made a new Deadeye to be crossbow-focused and was disappointed to discover the sound was lost for him. He sticks mostly to dual pistols now, which are Ebonhawke Crossbow Pistol skins.
Unique is a property of certain items that prevents the player from equipping multiple copies of that item at one time. This property is mostly, but not exclusively, associated with equipment of G Ascended rarity , especially ascended trinkets. Certain trophies and other non-equipment items have the unique characteristic, even though it has no impact on their functionality. Similarly, it has no effect on back equipment and amulets , because only one of each type can be equipped anyway. Normally, if two identical items are obtained, and two appropriate equipment slots are available, both can be equipped. For instance, accessory Koda's Gift is not unique, so a pair of them can equipped at once in two accessory slots. However, with unique items, you can only equip one copy at once.

There are other rifles, like the Leyline, Super and Repeating rifles, that I know also have unique firing sounds, as well as potentially others I don't know about. Bums me out that the sniper class, the one most specialized upon rifles, doesn't get to enjoy them. But for this one: it doesn't. You're right about the "Ironsight" skin and I'm rather disappointed with the constant lack of competence the design team generally displayes in that regard. I wonder on what the Anet team is working because GW2 is obviously left behind on many fronts, probable GW 3 or something.
