Tommy Ray Edwards Jr. According to a GCSO report, deputies were dispatched just after a. Deputies found a man lying face down and bleeding from his groin area and a woman crying next to him. Witnesses reported that the victim and a man later identified as Edwards were playing cards and began arguing. Edwards ran out the back door of the residence with the victim in pursuit. Witnesses said Edwards then fired about five shots. Deputies say the victim appeared to have been shot twice, with one shot hitting him in the genitals. Deputies recovered two shell casings near the residence. Edwards was later identified as a suspect and was arrested. Live Now.

Lukie was off duty at the time of the accident. According to the police report, Lukie told officers that he was struck from behind but did not see the vehicle. Officers found surveillance camera footage and could see it was a red mustang involved in the accident. When officer ran the tag number, it came back registered to another vehicle, which that owner said it recently went missing. He further said he stopped to help but Lukie told him to leave the scene. Williams was booked in the Greenwood County Detention Center. Lukie was not arrested and booked due to the injuries sustained in the accident. Police did charge Lukie with Driving Under the Influence. Greenwood County Sheriff Dennis Kelly immediately terminated Lukie after being informed of the situation. In discussion with Greenwood County Sheriff Dennis Kelly, he said first that this incident fell under Greenwood City Police jurisdiction but its normal not to arrest someone that required medical treatment.
