Firstly, this trip had involved very little research and planning totally out of my comfort zone but we had a deadline to get it booked. It was light, modern, spacious and had everything we needed. Yes… actual teeth which we found quite revolting. The layout gave us plenty of space in the living area and kitchen and the bedrooms were at the back. We were able to shut both the bedroom doors and the door leading to the bedrooms to block out the noise from the television after the children had gone to bed.

This was a five day break for myself and two children age 12 and 8. We had a lovely meal in the Coast House Bar and Grill where the children got given backpacks full of activities and the atmosphere was lovely. There were some pleasant on the lead walks around the site in the evenings, and we walked along the coastal path by the beach, but the tide always seemed to be right in so no space for the dog to run on the beach. Layout… The layout gave us plenty of space in the living area and kitchen and the bedrooms were at the back. Dogs Welcome. We had planned to do some day trips and explore more of the local area but the wet weather kept us on site. Me and my family have been to a site in Wales called Hafan Y Mor sevaral times and we were outstanded by the price. However it was a bit of a drive to some places as it's out on the Lleyn Peninsula, so you had to drive back and round to get to places like Barmouth. The toilet block was absolutely immaculate and looked very new, with a keycode for access. The only let down regarding the park was every time we tried to book an activity for my son it was usually full, except for days we already had other things booked and paid for the mountain train and electric mountain for example and could t cancel or change them. The touring part of the site was quite strict with checking in times, we noticed outfits being turned away and having to reverse back down the road when they arrived before 12pm.

It just shows that Haven can be a fantastic holiday at any time of the year. The entertainment was reasonable and if forced to make a comparison i would say that its on a par with Butlins. We used the club one night which was fine, same as any other Haven really. All of the swimming pools were ripped out and completely redone from the ground up, with two brand new swimming pools added on. Simply click here then click on the Like button!
