This is just to let all of you know that I have switched over to Substack. So, after three years I've decided that it's finally time to write something else. I mean, not much has happened since then in the world, right? A couple of things, perhaps, such as a pandemic, the clot shots safe and effective, not , the Biden Collective, Wokesterism, Mass Formation Psychosis, the war in Ukraine, runaway inflation, new exotic pronouns, men having babies, the death of Queen Elizabeth and Elon Musk buying Twitter, just to mention a few that come to mind. However, I think that in spite of everything we can all agree that things could have been a lot worse. Trump could have been elected, or Biden could have taken his oath of office in with a functioning brain.

The Jolly Sailor is a stunning little pub in Hemington, Leicestershire — a village dating back to the 12th century — the pub itself is around years old — many of the houses in the village are thatched and a small stream meanders down the main street. Decorated in a nautical style you feel like you have walked into pub on the harbour in some small Cornish port — it come complete with this laid back atmosphere. The outside seating area is a peaceful retreat on a sunny evening or afternoon with tables outside the front of the south facing yard. The pub serves an excellent selection of local and classic draught beers, wines and spirits — with a good selection of gin. With real log fires the pub is child, pet and muddy-boot friendly — tourists are also welcome!
