My guess is that within a couple of weeks, I'll have all 10 figures maybe sooner. But, I don't know where to get any of the maps. My store isn't holding any Pacific Rim organized play events, so I can't get them there. Anyone know where I can get them? Thanks in advance SG. Well, sorry to disappoint but there wasnt an OP kit or any maps made in conjunction with the Pacific Rim fig release. Good news There are no specific Pacific Rim maps and there is no Organized Play for it either. The Pacific Rim mini-game comes with a small cardboard map but isn't a "true" HeroClix map. You'll have to use existing Marvel or DC maps to play on.

Pacific Rim is an upcoming science fiction film directed by Guillermo del Toro from a screenplay by Travis Beacham and del Toro. The film is set in a near future where soldiers piloting giant robots battle against invading giant monsters who have mysteriously risen from beneath the ocean. Del Toro has said the film will be "a beautiful poem to giant monsters". From Wiki: In the near future, giant monsters identified as "Kaiju" have risen from a portal in a crevasse beneath the Pacific Ocean, resulting in a war which takes millions of lives and quickly consumes humanity's resources. To combat this new threat, a special type of weapon is designed: massive robots, known as Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge.

We just found out about a new HeroClix compatible map Kickstarter. It's an interesting twist on the HeroClix map design, as these are intentioannly done in Black and White. Here's the official description: We set out to develop these maps with modern architecture in mind. Of course, we also wanted these maps to be as realistic as possible for the best possible gaming experience. We chose some of our best designs and modified them for optimum game performance. This is our first release of many to come in this format. Our maps offer great detail without being overly cluttered with color which saves you money on ink when you print your pdfs.

HeroClix is a collectible miniatures game that uses the Clix system that centers on the world of superhero comic books, especially the Marvel and DC Comics universes. Players construct teams of comic book heroes, villains, or characters from various video games series such as Street Fighter , Gears of War , and Halo and engage in a turn-by-turn battle on grid maps based on various storyline locations. The HeroClix game utilizes the "combat dial system" originally created for the Mage Knight game. The Combat Dial keeps track of a figure's game statistics via a rotating dial in the base. As the figure suffers damage, the dial is turned required number of "clicks" to reveal new stats and possibly special abilities. HeroClix was designed to appeal to comic book fans and players of wargames and subsequently also became collector items due to the quality of detail in the HeroClix figures. The first game set, Marvel's Infinity Challenge , was released in and included figures and maps. The original HeroClix figures were all from comic books printed by Marvel Comics, but later expanded to include sets from DC Comics and from various independent comic book publishers such as Image Comics and Dark Horse Comics. Later expansions also added new card-based mechanics such as "Feats" and "Battlefield Conditions", expanding the game beyond the addition of new characters.

Good news We used the Pacific Ocean map from FI Month 5 and another map pushed together on the long sides to get both water and land.
