Starter Pokemon are always among the most iconic in their generation. Whether the player picks a Grass, Fire, or Water-type, their starter Pokemon will often stay by their side throughout the game, growing stronger alongside them as they take on fellow trainers, Gym Leaders, and criminal organizations. However, the Sinnoh starters aren't the only ones available in the Generation 4 remakes. In the late game, trainers can add starters from the previous three generations to their team, as well as the Sinnoh starters they did not choose at the beginning. Once players have obtained the National Dex , they can catch all of these fan-favorite Pokemon in the Grand Underground — here's where to find them. Every starter Pokemon from Generation 4 and earlier can be found in different areas called Hideaways of the Grand Underground , depending on their type. All are fairly uncommon occurances, so players may have to be patient when trying to encounter them. Keep in mind that the Pokemon inside a Hideaway reset every time the player enters, so if the desired Pokemon does not appear, the player can simply exit and re-enter until they find what they're looking for.

To catch all three starters, players will need to defeat the Champion and complete their Sinnoh Dex, which requires you to see not catch all Pokemon in the regional Pokedex. Simply exit and re-enter the Hideaway to refresh the Pokemon available. Also, consider placing statues in your Secret Base in order to increase the spawn rates for different Pokemon types. Take that "Too much Water"! Both are always male. Plus, you've gotta admit it, Sceptile doesn't exactly have the greatest level-up movepool in the world. Gen 2 and 3 are the easiest for me. Total voters Both are good in terms of design BUT overall i think i can pick a winner. Nintendo 3DS. Sceptile has an amazing moveset in later generations though. It's also one of my favorite lines in general, so I'm biased. Sceptile does not learn Giga Drain at all. It is at level 10 and knows Bite , which Eevee does not normally know at this level without breeding. I tend to start with Cyndaquil more.

Last edited by a moderator: Nov 1, The Defense, Special Defense, and Special Attack stats are a tiny bit lower than the top stats, while Speed is the worse stat of the six. I'm not sure whether it's because of nostalgia, but that's just how I view the two groups of Pokemon. Let's not forget the awesomeness that was the Squirtle squad either.
