We purchased our mower in , and twenty years later, it's still going strong! Though it is a bit of a gas guzzler, it still cuts the grass just the way we like it. We were thinking about the Honda pushmower at the time, but decided on this sit-down mower instead. It vibrates a lot, but I'm sure with the new models, they have improved this. It is fairly comfortable, as far as mowers go, and has the easy to use steering-wheel which was typical for all mowers back then. We've never had any major problems with it, and like I said, It has lasted twenty years, so overall we're pretty pleased with it. It has a 38" deck, and is a semi-automatic transmission, so it is big enough to mow a large lawn in a small amount of time, and is easy and fun to ride.

I had the deck off last year to weld up some rust and replace the blades and blade spindles. Now the left blade seems to be not cutting properly at all. The belts are in good condition and I can not find anything in the manual that seems to suggest a cure for this problem. Honda sure did not go all out on their shop manual for this machine as it is rather vague in some areas and some guess work is needed. ANy suggestions will be appreciated. I"ve got a HT pretty much a with a larger deck and need an old carb to cannabilize some small parts off of. Please steer me in the right direction. That was awhile ago and I can;t recall if the cutting problems started right after I put the machine back together or did the challenges start a short time later.
