So honda checked code and replaced VTEC valve switch assymbly. Then code came back up on HDS test for them witch ended up being a valve that was sticking and a strainer replacement. They replaced this all and everything is fine as I can tell. Hope this helps if you get the same code. Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions.

Driving the car the other day and my check engine light, VSC light and the traction control warning light all came on. Continued to drive the car not much of a choice, had to go to work and eventually the VSC light and traction control warning light went off.
We recommend Torque Pro. How much each valve will be opened is determined by the camshaft and the profile of its lobes. So, when designing the engine, the manufacturers must choose between the lowdown torque or the power output at high engine speeds. This is at least so when the ratio between the camshafts and crankshaft is fixed. Engines with variable valve timing, though, combine the best of both worlds, so to say. They do this by incorporating a mechanism that advances or retards camshafts rotation depending on driving conditions. This, in effect, keeps valves opened as much as possible for most of the rev range.

P is a common Honda made vehicle trouble code. This code indicates the VVT advance control is malfunctioning, leaving the engine timing stuck advanced. It works by using oil pressure to hydraulically move the camshaft.
Age of mythology cheat codes
I have a Honda Accord 2. Even more bizarre; my state inspection was due and it passed PA state inspection! Fast-forward to this past weekend. These are both simple, inexpensive free even! Anyhow, I took my Element in for service and they told me the VTC actuator is clogged which is kind of worrisome since I know its not an easy part to get to. The check engine light went out after I had the oil changed. In your LHD not sure which end it is. I have the factory service manual and while I can definitely change my own oil, this is definitely a job I won't attempt myself. Again, there are quite a few videos out there on how to do this. I got the car to a safe place and started snooping around with a bluedriver module.
So, it is likely that you are wondering what the problem is if your mechanic has pulled code P from your car. In the case of a Honda Accord, diagnostic code P means the variable valve timing control advance is malfunctioning.
Its had a rattle on startup for quite a while. This is where I went wrong I can make the light go out easily enough by shutting off the car and re-starting. I took off the balance shaft pulley and don't see the sensor my car shuts off and sometimes Any updates on how it was fixed please? The cam chain tensioner is primarily controlled by oil pressure and if it drops low it loses force. Another common problem are VTEC solenoids going bad, which is a job best left for the dealer to repair. I got the car to a safe place and started snooping around with a bluedriver module. It was not the VVT system. Hope this helps if you get the same code. Replaced engine oil and filter with factory recommend oil weight if necessary. Have a non specific issue?
