My stay at the hotel coincided with the staging of the Rally Isle of Man and on the night of my arrival, a staff member informed me that my booking had been cancelled. A room was automatically made available to me with my only criticism being the sagging mattress on the bed. The hotel is antiquated and reaching the ground floor was a bit like working your way through a maze, but that wasn't a problem for me. Staff with whom I interacted during my five days there were pleasant and the proprietor should be complimented on the way she handled breakfast orders across a few very busy mornings. Many other establishments charge separately for breakfast, but here it was included as part of the price paid for the accommodation.
