How to draw a deer
There are few moments you can have in nature that are as wonderful as encountering a pretty deer in the woods. These gentle animals are always a welcome sight, and they have come to represent the calmness and peace of nature.
Learn how to draw a great looking Deer with easy, step-by-step drawing instructions, and video tutorial. Begin the deer outline by sketching the animal's face. Shade an inverted, curved triangle for the nose, then use curved lines for the snout and top of the head. Enclose a double-pointed shape for the eye, and enclose successively smaller circles within it. Shade one of them to form the pupil. Draw the ears using curved lines. For each ear, use three lines - two for the outside that meet at a gentle point, and one to contour inside the ear.
How to draw a deer
Deer stand on their toenails in an ungulagrade stance. This means that the heel and the wrist are about half way up the portion of the leg that is visible below the line of the belly. Capture the posture, proportions, and angles of the deer with light quick lines. Check your proportions and then go back and add your details. Do not rush into the detailed drawing too soon. To accurately draw a deer, details must be supported by a solid and anatomically correct structure. In the drawings below I use a compleated drawing of the deer to show what I am moving toward in the steps. How to draw a deer
From the right edge of the heart shape create a curved line going downward, then continue that line horizontally, finally curving downward to outline the top part of the body. The first line should be wide and curved, and the second should be straighter and closer to the head. From the body line we made earlier take the large curve downward further down in that curve, but leave a little bit extended out for the tail. For the back hind leg make a little line outward from the first dip in of the leg we just made, then bring it straight down! Using those lines we made earlier, draw a shape around them in the same shape as the guidelines, using the guidelines as a midline. Erase the midline from the antlers and where the ear overlaps on the right that ear is covered by the antler! There you have it, a deer!
