Hp dv6 bluetooth

I am unable to see any bluetooth options on this notebook. Does the DV6 come equipped with bluetooth hardware? Please help me in this regard. It has core i5 processor and pre installed windows 7 home premium. Go to Solution.

Ask a new question. I am not being able to see option to switch on bluetooth on my windows 10 PC. I can see bluetooth in device manager but there is no bluetooth adapter in network adapter tab. Hello, this question is a continuation of this topic specifically a comment by UBoMW , which unfortunately has been locked and does not allow more posts. The documentation for bluetooth upgrades is really unclear so after searching for months I'm reaching out to the community. Thanks so much for any help you can give! But a search for the module results in either a wifi card or a bluetooth module, which are not the same part. HP partsurfer shows a photo of a bluetooth module , but all web searches come up with a wifi card. The photo of the part listed as on this website zoom in for a clearer photo than the one on HP parts surfer looks like it has part number , which I've read is part of the bluetooth module by itself. Is this the correct part number of the BT module not including wifi card or perhaps a module interchangeable with ?

I tried to installed it from the hp drivers on the website and when i do it tells me it must be switched on. I can't figure out what to do so could someone please help me figure out how to get the drivers so I can use bluetooth headphones if I get them. I hope we can get this resolved. On some of the newer dv6 models you have to use the corresponding model bluetooth driver for the model wlan card your notebook has. If you don't know what model wlan card your notebook has, go to the device manager, click to expand the network adapters device manager category, and there you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter. This package contains the software required to support the HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology in supported notebook models running a supported operating system.
