Install the AA Alkaline batteries that came with the mouse. Release the latch at the back end of the mouse, lift the top cover, and then set the cover aside. Insert the batteries into the mouse, and then push down until they click into place. Position the top cover over the mouse, and then gently push down the cover until it clicks into place.
