Most of these comics are rather long, often ongoing to this day, and created to be binge-read. And to start, I must commend the creator for dreaming up such a bold premise. She now must kill one sinner a day they are marked with red Xs or go right back to Hell. Almost immediately, what it means to sin becomes a plot point. The comic is smart enough regarding this to be fascinating, especially when exploring the rules of Hell. But, unlike that show, Grim Reaper is very dark, gritty, and violent. The artwork is routinely stunning—expertly using the downward flow of phone-scrolling to amazing effect—but often uses it to depict leering awful people and gristly murders.
I m the grim reaper
Such is the career path of a young woman named Scarlet, who dies and is delivered down to the fiery underworld only to find herself in an entry level position as…The Grim Reaper! Upon a young woman's death, she loses her memories and is taken directly to Hell, where she not only meets the devil, but is informed that she was one of the worst sinners there were, and is given a choice: either become one of his grim reapers, or be sentenced to the ninth circle of Hell, a complete void lacking in any of the five senses. To avoid this fate, she agrees. Going by the name of Scarlet, she now has to kill one sinner per day, lest she be taken to the ninth circle. However, she meets a detective who seems to know something about who she was while alive. Hungry for answers, she teams up with him to try to discover who she was while alive. However, she's keeping her identity as a reaper a secret, and she still must find and kill one sinner every day, which complicates things. While they are murderers, they are ultimately better than Satan and Judah. Absurdly Long Wait : Played for drama. When Liam discovers Ana's body and calls emergency services, he discovers that not only is there a waitlist, but it'll take twenty-five whole days for anyone to come investigate. It plays a major role in his Sanity Slippage.
Blue Blood : She is said to be a woman of high nobility.

He then started crying when Chase absolves him by stating it wasn't his fault. Brook's ribbons and mask immediately bring bunnies to mind, down to being called the rabbit reaper. Cool and Unusual Punishment : Given the choice, he would rather be ripped into shreds multiple times and be forced to regenerate over performing team building exercises. He enjoys watching sinners get tortured, and he also enjoys tormenting Scarlet. They used stolen organs to perform surgeries on one another to replace the damaged organs. Not only that, but the other angels represented by the other two Archangels are either just ambivalent to it all or in Blind Obedience to God, opposing her desire to try to make a positive change. Mugging the Monster : Scarlet's first sinner was planning to kill her for fun. On the other hand, Brook has quit the Red Spades and seems to be on their side. Stoicism : Something Chase has to deal with. Tsundere : A very downplayed example. And of course, whatever horrifying evil Ante Nora did to be sentenced to the 9th circle, he was definitely complicit and may even have been its mastermind. It's eventually revealed that the source of her amnesia was the Scarlet Rot she contracted targeting her brain. This trait only grows more after she was stuck in the 9th Circle for 25 years. This is because he was created from Barghest, and while Scarlet interacted with Barghest enough to partially imprint herself on him, she did not do so enough to make him an identical copy like Wrynn did to hers. Gross-Up Close-Up Whilst in the ninth layer a gory mass of organs, which then shift into Ante Nora, can be seen descending from the ceiling Half the Man He Used to Be : Scarlet has a habit of cutting her victims in two with her scythe.

Cynicism Catalyst : Scarlet's comes very early in the story. Episode reveals that God believes They are 'incomplete' - the purpose of the human species is to produce aspects of God so they can understand Themselves. The exact nature of the conspiracy is so complicated that, even after becoming the new leader of the Red Spades, Veronica still cannot begin to understand it, only knowing that the Red Spades were created to serve as The Scapegoat for them. If he disobeys Satan's orders, he will be replaced by Judah, someone who will use whatever leeway Satan gives him to hurt Scarlet far more. Karmic Death : The sin that damned her to the 9th Circle also ended up causing her death. She was ultimately Hoist by Her Own Petard and ended up dying to that very same disease. Scarlet can see sinners everywhere. He even manages to tear off her arm and leg. No-Holds-Barred Beatdown : After Scarlet takes a bullet for him and he thinks she's died, he snaps at the would-be killer, tells him that since he killed her, he'll kill him, and nearly succeeds in beating him to death with his bare hands. There's no rule against a reaper having more than one demon's worth of authority after all. Cat Girl : When Scarlet reveals her horns and tail, Chase's imagination turns these into cat ears and a feline tail.
