Every single person was helpful, engaging and generally wanted to make our stay a good experience. The location is absolutely beautiful and with good access to Bury St Edmunds and main travel routes. However it was school half term and so the hotel was packed with about 60 children which the hotel appeared to cater for over and above anyone else a lttle like an expensive Butlins. Staff were absolutely amazing deserve a pay rise. They also provide tea- and coffee-making facilities and free mineral water -- mini-fridges would have been a nice touch. The large, historic market town of Bury St. Funky contemporary art adds a touch of modernity in many rooms, and accents like bright quilts lend a bit of home-spun style.
