We've got an Ikea kitchen plan which lists all the worktop pieces as mm depth. We're getting the standard mm cupboards. Why does the worktop depth need to be mm? There are some areas in the kitchen where we've got pipes that stick out and we've been told to go for a slightly wider worktop there. Some parts of the kitchen won't be affected by pipes at all and they've still listed mm depth worktops. Is there any reason why we couldn't go for a more standard mm depth worktop?
