Our signature single meatball, stuffed with mozzarella, served in our rich tomato sauce, and topped with ricotta cheese and parmigiano. Anchovy sauce: white wine, shallots, capers, butter and fresh lemon juice. Thin cut eggplant stuffed with ricotta topped with tomato sauce and baked to perfection 3pc. Marinated shrimp, lightly fried in Wondra flour, sprinkled with lemon and vinegar. White mushrooms stuffed with roasted vegetables, pecorino, bread crumbs and topped with Asiago cheese. Prince Edward Island mussels sauteed with tomatoes, chili, garlic and white wine. Romaine lettuce with salami, provolone, tomato, olives and red onions.

Il Cortile has been family owned and operated by the Esposito family in the same location since There are many reasons this establishment has thrived in the competitive environs of the NYC restaurant scene. First and foremost, the recipes presented here are always prepared with the very freshest and highest-quality ingredients available. The recipes are also family favorites that have been handed down for generations and are rich in Esposito family history. The menu at Il Cortile is extensive, but certainly not overwhelming. There are also delicious vegetarian options, so always something to suit everyone in your party! In fact, there's even a signed photo of James Gandolfini hanging above his favorite table in the rear of the Garden Room at Il Cortile. For our recent visit, we sampled several dishes and each one of them was both expertly prepared and served. Our waiter Angelo was extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu choices and he was also very adept at explaining the details about each of the dishes we ordered.

Il Cortile offers an extensive menu that includes selections in Antipasta, Primi and Secondi courses along with our enticing Mozzarella section. Our menu changes frequently to reflect seasonal changes and availability of the freshest and best products available. We source our products from local farmers markets, local purveyors along with various California purveyors and specialty items imported from Italy. Chef Santos gets his inspiration from constantly searching for the finest ingredients to keep our menu exciting and new.
