Time to look at the brakes and bearings. The main problem with the brakes is that they are not releasing properly which means the wheel cylinders are not moving properly. These need to be cleaned up so that they move smoothly. First thing is to jack up and remove the wheel, this gives access to the drum. Remove the grease cap, cotter pin, castle nut and washer. Next in line is the small bearing, this normally comes out with the drum rather than separate. I had some difficulty taking the drum off the brake shoes as they we locked apart, I had to loosen the adjustment at the bottom of the shoes to release the drum. Took off the drum and associated bearings and hardware and cleaned the lot of all old grease. Checked the viability of the bearings, looking for pitting, scarring, grinding or anything that would indicate that the bearings are in need of replacement. They looked and felt reasonably new or unused. The larger bearing on the inside of the drum was removed and also cleaned up. The larger bearing is held in with a large ring that pushes out, I had to tap carefully on the bearing from the inside to unseat the locking ring. Once it starts to move a flat head screwdriver can be used to pry the ring out and the bearing will just fall out.
