I just got the Jon Duckett Html and Css book its very insightful but in the beginning of the book it said that Html5 still was being developed so is the so is some of the information invalid also if someone would tell me which sections of the book are invalid i would really appreciate that. I would say that some of these books may be a bit outdated but they are still a good read.

I think this book gives you some easy access to some of the basics, but that's about it. The book will probably teach you about the web and how it all works and stuff so I would say go ahead and read it! So, I grabbed this book. This book is SO good. I wish I had this when I was starting out. Actually, it was the era of the Commodore 64, and the shady back room deals at high school where we would exchange disks containing pirated software. The textbook is a perfectly hands-on introduction to web design that gradually increases the code complexity.
