Many spoke of the hours of work and sleep they missed due to how Braun would keep them on the phone or by her side for long periods of time. The fallout was huge when the doulas learned the person they had been investing hours in was lying and the police were involved. The court heard this week Braun had a positive childhood but developed significant separation anxiety after her dad left the family home.
