Test motorcycles come and go here frequently, except certain models we have trouble letting go. The manageable power delivery and superb roll-on response enable the new Ninja R to make short work of the morning commute or perform as an entertaining track day companion — all while delivering good fuel economy. This spunky sportbike received several changes to the frame, swingarm and suspension that result in reduced vibration and lighter handling, making the new Ninja R more nimble and comfortable than ever.

Very low-effort controls were a design mandate of these models from the start, and that carries over onto the '09 model—you don't need big mitts to pull the clutch or work the throttle. And as compliant as the engine is, some complained that the cc eight-valve parallel-Twin was a bit buzzier than they would have liked. But instead of quelling it at the source expensive , Brand K's engineers went after the bad vibes further down the line.
