Cha Dae-woong Lee Seung-Gi is a normal college student, with ambitions of becoming an action star. When Dae-woong awakes and meets a mysterious and very beautiful girl, he initially treats her as eccentric or mentally ill, before she discloses that she is actually a gumiho in human form. According to myth, gumihos eat men's livers, so Dae-woong is scared out of his wits, and the gumiho takes advantage of his fear by sticking by his side. Mi-ho wants nothing more than to become human, so they strike a deal: she'll lend him her mystical fox bead so that with his increased speed and strength, he'll be able to do difficult stunts, and in exchange he'll help her become human.

Out of boredom I decided to try it out one night when I was looking for something to tide me over while waiting for a title to appear that would be more promising. I've seen a lot of Korean melodramas over the years, so I feel I have a pretty good prospective on this genre. I really enjoyed watching it, and I think you would too.

I was mightily impressed with her poignant performance as the scarred, mute girl who fell in love with an artist, knowing their relationship would never last. I wanted to see her in more films and dramas and so I gladly put Gumiho on, expecting to fall in love with the actress all over again, which I surely did! Written by the talented Hong Sisters who wrote The Master's Sun , another one of my top favorite Korean dramas , they scored big with this show, which received excellent notices and ratings throughout Asia. It's a pure fantasy all the way, but if you are open to those types of shows give it a try. I promise you will smile and laugh a lot, and maybe even shed a few tears by the bittersweet ending! Think of female Dracula or female Werewolf folklore. She can then transform herself into human form and seduce the hearts of young men in order to eventually consume them.

One thing I really liked about this show is how it mixes in bits of Korean myths. I accept all of those. I really enjoyed watching it, and I think you would too. We're talking about a gumiho, which is a fox with nine tails that can change into a woman, and then Kim Min-yeong. The title and the main plot are so simple, not attractive to watch. In fact, the entire cast did a great job! Hyomin Ban Sun-nyeo. I was so wrong. For example they managed to ruin the first kiss: you have waited eleven episodes for it, and when it finally arrives the episode ends mid-scene.

The drama combines humor, drama, and fantasy elements, making it an engaging and enjoyable watch for those who enjoy romantic comedies with a supernatural twist. It was as if I was experiencing same kind of emotions what mi-ho and dae-woong was going through. Storyline Edit. The parts where the characters change are like, wow. At best, they are able to bring emotions in which my eyes get little watery in the end. If we will watch this drama today it will be cheesy ofcourse. There are a lot more laughs because of the other people in the story. The acting, as well, is lacking in the principles of goodness. I dont want to talk about other characters as this drama mainly focuses on these two characters. So far I watched this drama twice i. The idea is so fun and different that you can't help but be drawn in. I don't know where to start. I've seen some really dark gumiho-centric stories, that involve torturing men and eating their livers, bringing about the destruction of the human race, taking over the world, etc. You have Dae-woong, who was scared when he found out the real Mi-ho, and then fell head over heels for her. However, Dong-joo deliberately withheld the information that this process will result in the human's death.
