The title was originally announced as a PS5 exclusive in development at Embracer Group's Aspyr Media, with Sony co-publishing the title. After months of silence, it was then reported that the KOTOR Remake was being pulled from Aspyr Media after its vertical slice failed to impress the higher-ups. It's clear that Disney and Lucasfilm cannot be happy that one of its most premiere video game IPs has become stagnant, and what's worse, it seems to be so bad that Sony is not as invested as it once was. To be frank, it sounds like Embracer Group was handed the holy grail and subsequently squandered it.
