The following is a recipe for Blueberry Jam, that I used to prepare my little blueberry harvest. This is a part 2 post from Blueberry Hill — which was about growing blueberries and blueberry nutrition. This post contains blueberry jam preparation instructions and a printable recipe card. My mom has been making freezer jam for as long as I can remember. This summer I made a few batches with my mom, which inspired me to share the recipe for her Certo strawberry freezer jam. The perfect, sun-ripened berries- and the love. Freezer jam is by far and away the easiest type of jam to make. It gives it a wonderfully bright flavor and color. The hardest part is just waiting for it to set. Sometimes even if your jam sets, the texture can be a bit off. The easiest way to prevent this from happening is to let the mashed fruit and sugar sit for about 20 minutes before adding in the pectin. During this 20 minute window, you want to stir the fruit and sugar occasionally to help the sugar dissolve. My mom would have us do this as kids and I always thought my arm was going to pop off by the end. But now I understand why! I recommend setting a timer to make sure the sugar has enough time to dissolve properly.

Since Dustin and I moved to Austin, we have wanted to visit this little town called Fredericksburg, Texas. Fredericksburg is a small town deep in Texas Hill Country and is known for its peaches as is its neighboring town, Stonewall. With my parents visiting us for a week, we thought it'd be neat to make some homemade peach jam together. Over the years, we have all made homemade jam, including strawberry jam and blackberry jam. So, not only did fresh peach jam sound amazing, but it also gave us an opportunity to visit Fredericksburg again. That town is so darn cute -- we couldn't stand it.
