She claimed that I loved my dogs more than my children, and that I allowed the dogs to bite the children, whom I would then reprimand for having annoyed the dogs. The friend, whose identity Lady C discovered four months later, also made claims that the adoption had been illegal, which turned out to be false. The friend later admitted to the plot and the case against Lady C was dropped.
