Another top-notch performer, Wonderful Tonight, added more big-race glory to her name in the Hardwicke Stakes, while future Group 1 Creative Force was unearthed in the Jersey Stakes. One of the rags-to-riches stories of the year came when Rohaan continued his remarkable rise to win the Wokingham Stakes, while classy juvenile Point Lonsdale, Foxes Tales and Stratum were also winners on the day. Frankie Dettori was unable to sign off in fairytale fashion on his final day at Royal Ascot. Covey was well beaten as favourite in the Jersey Stakes and Free Wind was unable to land a blow in the Hardwicke. The year-old had bounced back from a disappointing first day when he went winless to enjoy some spectacular successes this week, including the Gold Cup aboard Courage Mon Ami. The racing great arrived for his final day at Royal Ascot in the grandest possible fashion as part of the royal procession. Dettori and his wife, Catherine, were in carriage four with Jamie Snowden and his wife, Lucy. Burdett Road went several lengths clear and the race looked over.
