LEGO sets collect a LOT of dust, and a simple feather duster might not do the trick because of all the cracks and crannies. For cleaning LEGO sets and minifigures, we love to use two things. First, we dust them with soft paintbrushes, like the ones that come with watercolor sets. Second, we use canned air. Between canned air and some paintbrush dusting, you can keep your sets looking great. We use plastic storage boxes with compartments for organizing minifigures and minifigure parts. The boxes are great for minifigures that get played with and changed around all the time, but we really like to display collectible minifigures such as the Marvel, Disney, and Muppets series figures, as well as Star Wars figures.

We still need to do some wall repair and I'd love to move the shelves over the lego display shelving but he loves it just the way it is so I'm thinking it will probably stay this way :. This is art!

Building a large LEGO set with more than 1, pieces takes a lot of time and effort. While I thought some of his interest may wane over the years instead it's actually grown and now he's very much into collecting these super large and super detailed sets. We have some really big but shallow plastic storage boxes that slide under his bed for loose pieces and have a few of those stored in the attic off of Mason's room that they pull out when they're building stuff but other than that everything is on the shelves. Love it!! The minifigures will just stick out past the frame. Big tick. That is impressive. You can make a three-step version for smaller collections that is VERY easy to build.
