Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling is a research-based language and literacy professional development that leads to improved student achievement and intentional instruction. LETRS addresses the structures of the English language, the cognitive processes of learning to read, and the teaching practices proven to be most effective in preventing and remediating reading difficulties. The blended approach of online and face-to-face sessions allows for participants to work independently and collaboratively to understand the when, why, and how of scientifically based reading instruction.
