I've had my Rxh for a few weeks now, and have learned several neat 'tricks' to make the experience of owning the car more enjoyable. I've also had to remove the car's battery for several hours to change out the steering wheel and learned that after battery removal, the car switches back to its factory default settings which are quite aggravating! So i've made this tutorial to help others who may want to play with the car's settings, or to customize it to fit their needs. If you know of any other tricks or helpful techniques to make the Rxh easier to operate, please post them here! Hopefully this thread will become a sticky in the beginning of the forum to help others who purchase a Rxh, or to anyone who has trouble playing with its various settings. So most of these have to do with switching out of the factory default settings, but some others are quite interesting, take a look!

So, assuming my RX is not missing a splash shield, here's a quick DIY note that I didn't actually drain the oil or remove the filter, as I had just done that recently but hadn't taken pictures. Four bolts here -. Two bolts and one plastic clip one the left and right side of the shield - driver side - - passenger side -. Remove oil pan drain bolt here is where I 'think' we don't have a plastic shield and the RX does and let oil drain into drain pan not the sewer or side of the road.

This afternoon while driving the Rxh, there was an instance where i smelled an "electrical burning" odor, but i thought it was just the car in front of me, and the smell passed quickly. I clicked on "climate control" and noticed it was set to "LOW" so i just thought that was why i had the radio on at the time.
