Every year, I build a Lego Winter Village for my family. This year, I wanted to add a bit more to it—to go to the next step. Its kits really bring the entire diorama to the next level. I am not one to write about Legos, but this addition adds a bit of technology to any Lego set. The overall appeal of Light My Bricks is wonderful.

Hello everyone and welcome to a special review of a Lego-compatible product! Today, we will be looking at two of the hundreds of products available on www. They were kind enough to send me some kits to review though as always, any product I review is of my own opinion. Light Kit For Assembly Square Light Kit For Bookshop Also, Lightailing has been generous enough to provide us with a discount code! As you can see, we will actually be looking at two different brands of kits in this review; BriksMax LED kit for the Bookshop, and Lightailing's own kit for Assembly square. Both sets come in a similar style box that is easy to open and can be used to store items later on. The instructions for this kit are very clear and easy to follow. The instructions show you when pieces need to be removed, they call out specifically what elements you need for that particular step, and they use icons to help you understand the action that is taking place during that particular step such as if you are being directed to insert the write though a Lego piece, as exemplified in this photo. This kit contains 10 smaller packets, each containing a variety of elements from wires to connectors and adhesive strips.

One thing I was worried about, were the wires. I couldn't get the LEDs to stay put under the leaves.

Lighting kits are a hot item at the moment. So hot even, that now LEGO is exploring options to bring their own kits on the market. I've bought a kit for my recently reviewed Bookshop to see what it's all about. Lights in LEGO are not a new thing. The first I could find was introduced in

Everyone loves LEGO, and building up a perfect kit brings about a special kind of accomplishment. You can look out onto your shelf at any time and see the hard work and creativity you put into your build, all the custom pieces and unique marks, or just the precise, prestigious brick-by-brick assembly that makes it stand out. If half the fun of LEGO is building, the other half is in admiring the craftsmanship that goes into every placement. LEGO sets can look good anywhere. These LEGO accessories are geared toward hobbyists and other creatives that want to add a special shine to their hard work by showing off with custom made LEGO sized LEDs and other lights that can be placed on or worked into any kind of structure or layout. These lighting kits are easy to install, and they come with detailed instructions that make the installation process hassle-free.

Each light kit is packed carefully by keeping LEDs and different accessories separately in plastic packs and those are put inside the hardy box with proper bubble wrap protection. And no, I've not tried these particular brands. Lighting the tree is a simple process: you fish the wire though and open stud, and then cap it off with one of the 1x1 trans studs to hold it in place. Ultimately I think the kit does a good job of hiding these as best as possible and the great thing of Lego is that you can always rebuild or find new ways to hide the wiring, if you choose. My diorama adds several other unlighted structures from additional creator sets Ski Lodge, Changing Season House and also a tunnel with a ski slope made from spare parts. We are UK based and have a lot of Dutch customers. Luckily, the guide shows step by step which bricks to take out, and how to put them back, so no need to get the building instructions out of storage.
