Once they both became older, Link became Hyrule's champion and Mipha noticed his drastic change in personality; he was more grown up, more focused, and rarely spoke anymore, link and mipha.

Mipha, like all members of her race, is a humanoid dolphin being half-human and half-fish. Her skin is scaly and of different shades of red and white and she has a fish fin on her head as hair. Mipha is shorter than the average Zora. She has a serene face, with thin red lips and yellow eyes. Originally she only wore jewelry and ornaments of Zora royalty, but after she officially became a Champion she began to wear a robe with the emblem of Hyrule. Although usually demure and introverted, Mipha can be courageous when needed and does whatever she can to assist Link and her allies in any way she can, especially in their battle to stop the Calamity Ganon 's return. Mipha is known to be extremely kind, treating both her people and strangers with equal kindness. Her cutscene in the Champions' Ballad shows that she was a nurturing elder sister to Sidon. Mipha is also known to be in love with Link, promising to heal him whenever and no matter how bad the wound may be. She shyly tells him that after the Great Calamity was dealt with, she wants to spend time with him, like they did in their childhood. Mipha was the Princess of the Zora , a friend of Link, and one of the Champions.

This information is revealed in memories of the past that Link regains when looking at Mipha's statue in Zora's Domain. In the memory, Mipha is healing Links' arm and implies that she used to do it often when they were younger. With many instances where Mipha's love for the knight is revealed, a translation of the Adventure Log in Japanese also exhibits Link's love for Mipha. Even though in BOTW each of the four champions died , their memories continue to live on and slowly reveal themselves to Link throughout the game.
