We saw this as an inevitable development allowing us to build on our world-class internship programme. After the second year of the BA Fashion Design course, our students work for two seasons with leading international fashion houses and designers, allowing them to experience first-hand two complete cycles of the fashion calendar. For those that want to set up their own design businesses, this will also mean working with factories, supported by the course to allow them to make the transition from graduate to designer as easy as possible. Today, 16th February , the 67th edition of London Fashion Week LFW returns and welcomes some of the most creative and innovative names in the fashion industry. Fashion's contribution is on par with other major economic sectors. Oxford Economics. In LFW focuses on Positive Fashion, a platform designed to promote and celebrate diversity, sustainability and openness; encouraging fashion to be used as a platform to promote global positive change. The LFW catwalk show schedule, Designer Showrooms at Strand and DiscoveryLAB feature the pioneers, the established and the emerging bringing together the creative industries from fashion to music, art and design.
