My nephew, Juan Gallegos lupita morales is now 16 years old, son of Marybel and Salomon Gallegos was diagnosed with Alports Syndrome at the age of He was first seen in Wichita, KS by a Pediatric Nephrologist for observation shortly after his mom Marybel Gallegos was diagnosed with the same disease. Alports syndrome is a genetic kidney disease that leads to kidney failure. After answering a job posting, Lupita Morales began working with Fresh Start Surgical Gifts as a medical administrative assistant, inputting patient data and other clerical tasks. Fresh Start gives them hope. In her full-time position with the organization, she manages services for current and prospective patients, oversees recruitment and training for more than volunteers and handles patient outreach at health fairs and with community presentations, among other duties. Morales, 36, lives in Oceanside with her husband and two stepchildren.
