The forward-positioned vertical post gives a mountain rider the steering rotation needed to attack mountains in a wrong foot forward position. Thats weird ur blowing belts, the 13 I've been riding has miles so far and showing no wear at all on belt and its hopped up a little, might just be an isolated case, I find with this sled the extra power allowed a lil room for error when riding the trees as it made it easier to slow down a bit to get better positioned, but it also requires a fair bit more body english to maneuver than the my m8, all in all I really like the sled, also gets great fuel mileage for a hp sled.
