Welcome to the parish of Mansfield Woodhouse where we strive to bring God's heart to the the heart of the community. St Edmund's Church stands on a busy crossroads at the heart of the lively 'village' of Mansfield Woodhouse, affectionately known by locals as 'Wudhus'. St Chad's Church, 'the jewel of the Vale', lies in the secluded, peaceful setting of historic Pleasley Vale. We recently welcomed Andrew Porter as our new vicar along with his wife Cathy, who is also ordained, and his family. We look to the future with great anticipation and excitement about what God has in store for us here in Mansfield Woodhouse! We delight in offering a warm and welcoming place for people to meet with God and each other. On the 2nd Sunday of the month the church family plan and lead informal, interactive All-Age Praise services using the Roots materials as a valuable and inspiring resource. This service, also held at BSL interpretation is available at this service. Evening Prayer is held at 6. When there is a 5th Sunday in the month a service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving takes place at 6. The church is active in prayer and worship, supporting families through Life Event services: funerals, weddings and Baptisms. We run a number of social justice projects which reach out to God's children in need and are very dear to our heart of the church family:.
